LeadSquared
Details
Lead lifecycle scope
LeadSquared provides a central lead workspace for teams that need to move enquiries from capture through qualification, assignment and conversion. Official product and help material describes custom lead fields, lead stages, scoring, prioritisation, activities, tasks, opportunities and configurable sales processes. It can suit organisations with high lead volume or structured follow-up where a general contact list is not enough.
Evaluation scenario
Import a representative group of leads from two sources, including duplicates and incomplete records. Apply a score, assign each lead by region and product interest, schedule follow-up and convert one lead into an opportunity. Ask users to explain why each record received its score and owner, then trace every task, stage change and interaction from the Manage Leads page.
Routing and process design
Document the rules that determine eligibility, ownership, reassignment and escalation. Test an unavailable representative, a changed territory and a lead that matches two competing rules. Confirm whether the platform prevents duplicate ownership, records the rule that was applied and gives an administrator enough information to correct a mistake without losing the original submission.
Data quality and integrations
Map web forms, imports, communication channels and connected business systems. Review unique fields and matching rules before migration. Introduce a failed integration and a delayed activity update, then verify how errors are surfaced and reconciled. Buyers should confirm the required APIs, connectors, retention, access controls and regional options directly from the current LeadSquared package.
Reporting and controls
Build a dashboard for new leads, response time, stage movement, workload and conversion. Reconcile totals to a record sample and separate lead quality from representative activity. Limit configuration, export and bulk-edit rights by role, and verify that sensitive lead fields and material changes are auditable.
Implementation planning
Identify the team that will own fields, stages, assignment rules and reports after launch. Prepare a small migration sample before moving historical records, and define how users will report incorrect ownership or missing activity. Training should use the approved lifecycle rather than a generic feature tour.
Decision checkpoint
Run the scenario with production-like volume and representative roles. Measure time to first action, assignment accuracy, duplicate handling and completion of required follow-up. Proceed only when the configured lifecycle is understandable to users, correctable by administrators and consistent with the organisation's customer-data governance.
